Festival Film Indonesia (in English: Indonesian Film Festival) or also known as FFI is an annual film festival organized by Indonesian Film Festival Committee. The festival show features announcement of Piala Citra (in English: Citra Award) winners and presen
tation of best Indonesian films of each year. The awarding night of FFI 2010 was held on December 6th in Central Park, Jakarta. Despite the controversy of the decreasing quality of the judgement, the event was successfully held and this year may become the rise of the young actors and actresses. There are five movies (i.e 3 Hati 2 Dunia 1 Cinta, 7 Hati 7 Wanita 7 Cinta, Alangkah Lucunya Negeri Ini, I Know What You Did On Facebook, Minggu Pagi Di Victoria Park) competing to win Best Film that have various background and feature plurality in many social aspects in Indonesia. Young Actress, Laura Basuki made a headline by winning the award of Best Actress in a Leading Role in her movie 3 Hati 2 Dunia 1 Cinta which also won the award of Best Film. The winner of last year's Best Actor in a Supporting Role, Reza Rahadian completed his victory by winning the award of Best Actor in a Leading Role. This year, Lifetime Achievement Award goes to the late Tuti Indra Malaon for her enduring passion of working in Indonesian movie industry. The Minister of Culture and Tourism, Jero Wacik stated that Indonesian movie industry has made a great and significant improvement and he also encourages everyone who works in it to make great movies so that we can gain recognition from the world for our achievements.
